summary: “I like your garden,” Merrin says. “I did not know you liked red.” Cal sits up, scooting closer to press against her side as they did in the cave on Jedha. His warmth is a comfort, more tangible than the sunlight and infinitely more welcome. “You like red,” he says in reply.

summary: She feels his eyes on her as soon as they land. She has always been attuned to Cal Kestis’ attention. In the old days, he wouldn’t try to hide his curious gaze, and she had enjoyed his genuine attention, so open and honest and different from what she had grown accustomed to. Now, however, when she looks back at him, he averts his eyes.
After years apart, Merrin finds herself in Cal Kestis’ orbit once more. Moments in the in-between during Jedi: Survivor.
Do you know other fredwina shippers who make good content?
Not a lot…finding positive Edwina fans is hard I mostly stick to my circle but for you nonny I’ve come up with a veritable list. I’m sure your probably already read/seen much of it but I hope you find something new on the list!
- The good folks at @edwinadaily are constantly creating pretty fredwina things-check out their tag here
(I mean look how pretty!!! Giving us what the show can’t😪)
- @minim236 writes a lot of great fredwina stuff and a lot of great Edwina in general her entire page is worth a glance but my favorite of her fredwina fics is price tag can’t recommend it enough I love a good 5+1 fic
- @phantomphaeton’s all the bright places is an absolutely gorgeous fic and my personal canon for fredwina so many great character dynamics and a beautiful exploration of what Edwina might be dealing with after 1814
- the scariest part is letting go by @vexthejester of my OG favorite fredwina fics though not strictly fredwina it’s more the Sharma sisters and Frederick trying to get into Kate’s good graces I loved it
- @lizzibennet’s don’t be unkind is not strictly fredwina but it features in a really sweet way! The fic is more about Anthony and Edwina and how they move on after S2 and its done really gracefully (also one of the tags on the fic is ‘a fic written with the sole purpose of having edwina be as mean to anthony as she likes lmao’ so like…)
And because I live to peddle this fic as if it were my own (it’s not I could never write anything this beautifully) if you like Edwina Only You Always is so so so so worth reading. It’s not fredwina but I promise you will love Lucas-it’s hot it’s fun it’s angsty and it’s just one of my favorite fanfics seriously go check it out besties

Summary: Anthony Bridgerton decides, somewhere between catching Kate’s eye from across the park and Lady Danbury whacking him with her walking cane and instructing him to keep away from Kate for the entirety of his mother’s so-called “harmony” ball, that he simply does not care anymore.

summary: They call themselves “Secretaries of Juliet,” Kate learns. A group of women, many fluent in multiple languages, all of varying ages and with different stories, who volunteer their time to write back to every single person who leaves a letter in their care. It’s an astounding thing, Kate thinks, to have found such an incredible cadre of women by sheer chance.
or,
Kate Sharma inspires Eloise Bridgerton to revisit her own lost love story. Anthony Bridgerton might have something to say about that.

summary: Anthony thinks of Daphne and Simon, of him and Kate. He imagines Eloise, determined to remain alone, and Francesca, already the apple of an Earl’s eye. He thinks of Benedict’s trail of fizzled romances, and of Colin, blind to his own ignorance.
“I will know no peace until my siblings are married,” he realizes. “I owe my mother a bottle of brandy.”
Ahhhh I LOVE Letters to Juliet! Any chance for a sneak peek? :D
I’m a sucker for people caring about stuff I write, so here ya go! :D
hi! would you say your writing has changed over time? i know lots of authors say theirs does, but i wondered about it from the fic perspective.
Hi!
In short, yes, my writing has changed. It’s kind of cool to go back and read the things I posted back when I was 12, 13 years old, especially because I write romance — you can see my views on love and relationships morph and shift as I got older.
The biggest alteration I can see in my writing is the maturity I had to gain as I began living on my own as an adult. I realized I was bisexual. I endured an emotionally deteriorating and manipulative friendship that bordered on a relationship — and then I walked away from it. I swore off relationships and decided to focus on a career. And then, when I least expected it, I fell in love. It’s been three and a half years, and those years with my boyfriend have taught me a lot about the nuances and intricacies of love — especially what comes after the initial thrill wears off. It’s true what you hear, that in real life, love is little moments, a feeling of warmth and safety. It’s not all passion and conflict — that isn’t sustainable.
That knowledge has certainly impacted how I write — I used to avoid writing what happens AFTER characters get together because I had no idea how to make it interesting. But now, I have some personal context. I have some years of living. I’ve been through fights, make-ups. The mundane that comes with a long-term relationship is ripe with stories — it’s why I have so much fun writing all of the marrieds in Bridgerton. There is so much to explore, as a writer, in what comes after the big first kiss, or the wedding.
wip whatever-day ;)

It is storming when Queen Charlotte names her Diamond of the First Water in 1815. Ironic, Kate thinks, fists clenched every time a rip of thunder echoes through the ballroom, that anything of “first water” be named in a torrential downpour.
Kate takes a deep, stilling breath and straightens the glittering white lace of her gown layered over gleaming silver silk. Violet had assured her it was of the upmost importance that she dazzle everyone at the Queen’s grandest celebration of the year, so she keeps a serene smile on her face and holds her head high.
“It is far more enjoyable to be in Her Majesty’s presence when one does not have to worry about winning an empty title, is it not, Didi?”
Edwina, beside her, is also dressed in a pearly white gown, but her posture is less rigid and her smile less rehearsed.
“I had no concerns over winning that title last year, Bon,” Kate says snidely.
“And yet you won the most eligible gentleman of the season,” Edwina retorts with a twinkle in her eye. Kate cannot argue that.
Her husband is across the room, conversing with his brothers. Presumably feeling her eyes on him, or perhaps simply because he feels like it, he glances over his shoulder, catching her eye. His lips curl into a small smile, just for her, and her chest warms at the gesture. She’d told him not to hover despite her discomfort from the rain, but Kate will not pretend it isn’t immensely satisfying to know that he is always aware of her, no matter what ballroom or situation.
Anthony Bridgerton is hers.

summary: The streets of Manhattan are relatively quiet on New Year’s Eve. All of the tourists are at the big ball drop, and the locals are all at their own gatherings already. It’s a good time to window shop, and be alone with one’s thoughts. Well, one’s thoughts and an infinite stream of pigeons and rats.
What a difference a year can make. And what a difference a single moment can make, too.
Because in the span of an instant, Anthony realizes that he was wrong.

summary: Anthony does not know what to expect when he sets foot in his apartment for the first time in weeks after making sure his family is settled at their hotel. Perhaps Kate working on an article at the kitchen counter, sipping on her favorite chai and snacking on pretzels. Maybe Kate, sitting in front of their TV, trying to play one of Benedict’s video games on the hardest level despite having never owned a console before just because she’s stubborn.
One of his expectations does come to fruition — Newton attacks his legs the moment he steps inside.
“Hello, you monster,” Anthony says fondly as he goes belly-up, reaching out and scratching his belly. “Where’s your Mama?”
He does not expect to see Sophie seated alone at the dining room table, seemingly waiting for him.

summary: The rain is relentless, sheer power and destruction before her in dizzying splendor. The thunder shakes the walls of the apartment, and even Anthony’s gifted headphones cannot block that out. Kate, in her room, squeezes her eyes shut and curls in on herself as much as possible, trying to remember to breathe deeply, picturing Appa’s face in her mind’s eye telling her she is strong, that it is just water…
